Exercise Brilliant Arrow 2011
Germany will be hosting the upcoming exercise Brilliant Arrow 2011 (BAW 11). From 12 to 22 September 2011, NATO will be conducting the multinational air exercise in Northern Germany to prepare participation in NATO Response Force 2012 (NRF 2012). Apart from a significant number of participating forces, the German Air Force (GAF) will, for the first time, provide the exercise command element: the GAF Air Operations Command whose aim for BAW 11 is to receive operational readiness certification as it is scheduled to act as Joint Force Air Component Headquarters (JFAC HQ) for NRF 2012.
